The Boar Oak Project Invites you to celebrate the Spring Equinox at our Volunteer Action Camp A FESTIVAL OF BALANCE & AWAKENING ~ WHEN DAY AND NIGHT ARE AT EQUAL LENGTH Work days ~ Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd March 2026 Work hours 10 - 4pm Arrival ~ from Friday 20th, 3PM ~ Finish 8PM on Sunday Join Simon to celebrate the Spring Quarter point Celtic festival within an ancient woodland. Immerse yourself in rural crafts, practical tasks, fire, hearth, singing and feasting while camping on a real Iron Age Fort from the native Celtic tribe. In West Sussex (near Forest Row) Volunteer roles ‣ Chef & assistant ‣ Task workers Email for questions or to secure a place ~ ironagesmith@gmail.com Tasks we will be working on are ---》 ☆ Working in a hazel copse ☆ Weaving Hazel fence stakes ☆ Moving small timber There may also be: Evening Hearth, Singing, Sharing circle. >>> Contribution - This camp will be a relaxed camp, free to attend with no meals provided. Children (over 10 years old welcome) Please come and contribute any time & hands on you can - The weekend includes fire wood for the campfire, tea, biscuits and free camping. There is always a strong hearth burning to warm yourself by. You are welcome to come for the whole weekend or just for the day. >>> Kit you Need to Bring ‣ If staying - a tent, bed roll and sleeping bag plus personal hygiene supplies (wash gear & towel) ‣ Casual work clothes including work boots, waterproofs + warm clothes & hot water bottle. ‣ Snacks & food for meals/ pack lunches. Campfire cooking is an option, just please leave the utensils and kitchen area clean without any traces of food left out anywhere in the woods. Thank you! ‣ There is a basic compost loo on site.
