Digital Skills for Young People with SEND Aged 7–15

This project supports young people with SEND aged 7–15 to develop essential digital, literacy and numeracy skills in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

Sessions are practical, engaging and designed to help young people build confidence while learning skills they can use at school, at home and in everyday life.

Training will include:

Google Workspace skills – Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Gmail and other useful Google tools.
Internet safety – staying safe online, protecting personal information, recognising risks and using the internet responsibly.
Digital confidence – developing the confidence to use computers, online tools and digital technology independently.
Embedded literacy – developing reading, writing, spelling, communication and understanding through practical digital activities.
Embedded numeracy – developing basic number skills, calculations and problem-solving through digital activities and real-life examples.
Practical activities and real-life scenarios – helping young people understand how digital skills are used in everyday situations.
Confidence and independence – encouraging young people to try new things, solve problems and become more confident using technology.

Our approach is patient, practical and adapted to the needs of young people with SEND. We recognise that every learner develops at a different pace and provide encouragement and support throughout the sessions.

Once booked, sessions cannot be cancelled. Our fees are minimal and help cover our running costs as a social enterprise.
