What we'll do
These sessions are for Children and young people, living in Milton Keynes with an EHCP, funded through EHCP+. ✨ One of the main highlights is board games, which are carefully selected or adapted to suit different abilities. Children take turns, follow rules, and make decisions while engaging in friendly competition. ✨ Games may include simple counting or matching challenges, memory games, or cooperative puzzles where children work together to achieve a goal. ✨The session often incorporates other SEND-friendly activities, such as relay races, obstacle courses, sensory challenges, musical movement games, or imaginative role-play. These activities stimulate creativity, communication, and problem-solving while giving children opportunities to express themselves in a fun, relaxed setting. Tactile materials, props, and visual supports are used to make games engaging and accessible for all abilities. ✨Sessions are delivered by Courtcare Flexi and we provide vital respite care and tailored support for children and young people with special needs within the community. It offers a safe, inclusive environment where individuals can develop confidence, social skills, and independence through structured activities and personalised care.

How We do It
✨The session usually begins with a gentle welcome, where staff introduce the activities for the day, using clear language, visual prompts, and demonstrations to ensure everyone feels comfortable and included. ✨This structure helps children feel safe and confident, while giving them the freedom to explore, interact, and have fun at their own pace. ✨Throughout the session, staff provide encouragement, positive reinforcement, and guidance, helping children navigate challenges, celebrate achievements, and build confidence.
