Sensory summer camp @Hessle with Connect

Connect is an Independent Occupational Therapy Service based in the East Riding of Yorkshire Occupation is the central focus of therapy and hinges its belief that occupations are meaningful within the context of an individual’s life. For children and young people their primary occupations are play, school and activities of daily living [including washing, dressing and feeding]. Connect is passionate about supporting individuals who have difficulties completing these functional activities within their everyday lives and strives to provide a family centred approach to enhance the lives of children and young people. Our therapists are qualified Occupational Therapist BSc (Hons) and have gained Post-Graduate Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration. Therapists are Level 1 Informed Sensory Attachment Intervention Practitioners. Additional training includes; The Interoception Curriculum, EcoSensory Therapy, Quickshifts, The Alert Programme, Is It Sensory or Is It Behaviour? Feeding Difficulties and Sensory, Intensive Interaction, SCERTS, Court Skills and Safeguarding Level 3. The therapists hold a DSB Enhanced Enclosure and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Sensory Integration Network, Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT) and College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Sector Independent Practice (COTSS-IP). Connect is fully insured and is compliant with The General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
