What we'll do
Morning sessions: 9am-1pm Afternoon sessions: 1:30pm-5:30pm At World of Children, our mission is to nurture curious, confident, and compassionate learners through a warm, inclusive environment that celebrates individuality, encourages exploration, and lays the foundation for lifelong growth. .As a setting we incorporate a vast amount of enrichment activities for children which include arts & crafts, junk modelling, science projects and cooking. We have quiet spaces for relaxation, reading and small group activities such as play doh, sand & water, painting and role play to name a few examples.. We have the advantage of having an outside area which incorporates different levels, a small climbing wall and opportunities for physical activities such as mini football, basketball, team games etc, as well as a nature area for planting and growing which enhance children's knowledge of nutrition. We encourage children to understand about healthy eating by engaging them in helping prepare food and provide self care activities such as brushing teeth. We create a nurturing environment for the children where they are welcomed upon arrival, activities are planned and varied throughout the session so the children have choices both indoor and out. Vegetarian meals are cooked daily on the premises and children will have their hot meal an hour before going home so no one will go home hungry and healthy snacks such as various fruits or vegetables are provided throughout the session. The staff are all qualified in a relevant child care qualification or working towards and all hold first aid, health & safety, food hygiene & safeguarding qualifications, with many having SEND knowledge and experience.

About your mentors
World of Children
Nurturing curious & compassionate learners
I first became interested in working with children when my youngest child was born (35 years ago ) I opened my setting then and engaged in much continual professional development and achieved a BA Honours degree in Early Childhood Studies & an MA in Children & Young People in Society. My philosophy is the belief that if one is passionate about how children learn and develop then children will have a good foundation. I am still today learning from the experiences we offer children which is crucial to shape their future as it has been proven that positive early experiences are crucial to their development.
Asmita
Senior Practitioner
I am passionate about children thriving through play and having a positive basic foundation at the beginning of life.I have studied and worked in childcare for 10 years now and have an Early Years degree in Early Years Education. I get a lot of pleasure seeing children learn through play and grow and develop with us. My philosophy is to be a facilitator who engages children to learn from the experiences and resources provided to them to enable this.
