A summary

Holiday Camp Description (SEND-Specific BNHF – Parkside Specialist School)
Our SEND-specific BNHF programme at Parkside Specialist School provides a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities during the summer holidays.
The camp is designed to support participants’ individual needs while offering a wide range of structured activities that promote social interaction, independence, confidence and wellbeing. Sessions include creative arts, sensory play, outdoor activities, physical exercise, and themed enrichment experiences, all delivered by experienced staff familiar with SEND support requirements.
We maintain a nurturing, low-pressure environment with appropriate staff-to-child ratios, ensuring each participant receives personalised support to fully access and enjoy activities. Where appropriate, we incorporate communication aids, structured routines and quiet spaces to meet diverse needs.
As part of the BNHF programme, nutritious meals and snacks are provided daily, supporting healthy lifestyles and ensuring children have access to good-quality food during the holiday period.
The programme also provides valuable respite for families and carers, with a focus on creating positive, enjoyable experiences that build friendships and lasting memories.
