A summary

Our 10-week EYFS School Readiness Programme, is designed to help preschool children build the confidence, independence and practical skills they need as they get ready to start school.

Each week, children will learn and practise a new skill to help prepare them for school. Through movement, play and hands-on activities, children will have the opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence and become more independent in a fun and supportive environment.

To make the programme even more exciting, every child will receive their own Adventure Passport. Each week, they will work towards developing a new skill and receive a sticker to add to their passport, helping them see their progress and celebrate their achievements along the way.

Across the 10 weeks, children will explore a range of themes including Knowing My Body, Balance and Control, Throw, Catch and Aim, Moving with Purpose, Problem-Solving in Motion and Ready for School.

The programme supports key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including:

  • Self-regulation and managing emotions
  • Building relationships and cooperation
  • Communication and language
  • Gross motor skills and physical confidence
  • Fine motor skills
  • Independence and following instructions
  • Problem-solving and decision-making

Families can sign up for the full 10-week course or choose to attend individual sessions that suit their child’s needs and availability.

The programme creates a supportive environment where children and families can learn, play and have fun together, while developing practical skills that can also be continued at home.
