A summary
Fun, inclusive 3 hour badminton sessions at the fantastic Hindu Sports Centre that is based in the middle of Wellingborough. A very secure facility which has 4 badminton courts and an accessible toilet. Come along and have fun playing badminton and learn new badminton related activities. Including improving hand/eye coordination for all children between the ages of 6 and 12. The fun coaching sessions are for anyone - no experience necessary you do not need to have played before - opportunities for all ranges of abilities. Crafting, card making, colouring and board game areas are also provided as rest areas. which the children love to do. The morning session will have a badminton related focus, freely moving around the hall and joining in a variety of opportunities, all being overseen by a qualified/experienced BADMINTON England registered coach. After the hot healthy lunch -there are additional physical activity/racket related challenges available for the children. There is opportunities for the children to lead and oversee the challenges should they wish to. Prizes and stickers are awarded to children for participating. A healthy hot meal with fruit and dessert is provided in a calm and organised setting, with all children sitting and eating collectively at tables and chairs. The fun sessions have proven to encourage socialising and friendships - with many children returning to meet up with friends each holiday. However, the sessions also offer opportunities for children who wish/prefer to play independently and join in with others when they are happy to. Fun for All through Physical Activity & Sport
An Inclusive family run provider with a wealth of knowledge in the physical activity and sport sector. Having worked in sport, in several different settings including school, local authority, SEND charities, and the private sector, Michelle and Ed, with support from family members, Tilly and Archie have grown School of Sport to be a thriving inclusive business, always putting the child/individual at the heart of our delivery. With an extensive background in delivering sports opportunities and competitions, providing SEND sports and Inclusion training over the last 30 years Michelle and Ed have a wealth of understanding, working with children and a wide variety of sports and activity experiences. We love running the Holiday camps and the children that attend are fantastic and a pleasure to have at the sessions, it is great to see them run in to the facility with smiley faces each holiday, eager to see friends, catch up with us, and join in the activities.
On the day!
It is preferred for the children to arrive at 9.55 am ready for the 10am start. Children ideally to be dressed for physical activity, trainers to be worn please. Children can bring a re-usable drinks bottle with them. Water is available for the children to drink anytime and freely help themselves whenever they want to. Parents/carers to be at the Centre at 1pm for collection. Snacks are available and provided mid morning In order to help your child have the best time, we would welcome any additional information, needs or preferences, allergies or apprehensions that your children may have. We will do our best to support, encourage and ensure they have a great day and an excellent experience.
