A summary
During these sessions, children will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of enriching, play -led activities designed to promote participation, creativity, and collaboration. Each session will offer a structured yet flexible environment that encourages all children to take part in the full range of activities provided. The program includes a diverse mix of free play, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) projects, arts and crafts, and team-based games. These activities are carefully designed to support the development of essential life skills such as problem-solving, communication, cooperation, and emotional resilience. By participating in group-based activities, children are encouraged to build friendships, improve their social interactions, and grow in confidence. A key component of the program is the provision of nutritious hot meals during each session. Menus are developed in consultation with the children and young people, ensuring that their preferences are taken into account while also meeting all dietary requirements. This inclusive approach not only promotes healthy eating habits but also empowers participants by involving them in decision-making around the food they consume. Overall, the sessions aim to provide a supportive, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can thrive both socially and emotionally while exploring new interests while building lifelong skills. 23.12.2025 will include a pantomime delivered by Theatre Space N.E We will be providing treats as well as the usual hot meals expected as part of the HAF program of delivery. As the pantomime will be only be taking up half of the session, for the rest of the session we will continue to offer arts and crafts / stem and sports activities in the same building
