Sam Marland Tennis - Raynes Park High School

Sam Marland Tennis

A summary
A day at a Sam Marland Tennis camp is designed to be a high-energy blend of technical teaching and competitive fun. We cater for children aged 5 to 14 of all skill levels.
Held at Raynes Park High, Burntwood School, and KCS School Wimbledon, these camps provide a structured yet lively environment where players can improve their game while making new friends.
The day typically begins with some team building games, activities and skills with a focus on agility, balance and coordination.
Every day of the week is dedicated to a different shot, such as the forehand, backhand, volley, or serve. For younger children, coaches use mini tennis balls and modified courts to ensure sessions are accessible and age appropriate.
Those staying for the full day will enjoy a supervised and healthy lunch break, allowing them to recharge for the afternoon.
During breaks the younger children will have the options to do arts and crafts and we also discuss the benefits of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
After lunch the coaches will lead a variety of fun games that reinforce the morning's lessons. The afternoon often features matchplay for the more able players with opportunities for singles and doubles play, allowing campers to practice tactical strategies.
We often include team challenges which are designed to build confidence and teamwork through friendly competition.
The last day of camp each week features a fun tournament with prizes for the winners and also for players who have shown sportsmanship and other qualities.
Led by our experienced LTA accredited coaches, our camps ensure that whatever the ability of the child, they leave with improved skills, improved social confidence, and hopefully a greater love for the sport.
