A summary
Salford 2026 Summer FunFest is a lively 16-day HAF holiday club delivered by Cede Foundation for eligible children and young people in Salford. Running Monday to Thursday, 10am–2pm, from 27 July to 20 August 2026, the programme offers sports, creative arts, games, team challenges, wellbeing activities and enrichment sessions. Each day includes a healthy meal, supportive staff, safe supervision, friendship-building and positive opportunities for children to stay active, learn new skills and enjoy the summer holidays.
There will be a trip every Tuesday to give children exciting learning experiences beyond the usual holiday club setting. Planned trips include The Lowry on Tuesday 28 July, Heaton Park on Tuesday 4 August, Imperial War Museum North on Tuesday 11 August, and Irish World Heritage Centre on Tuesday 18 August. These trips will help children explore culture, heritage, nature, creativity and history, while building confidence, curiosity, communication skills and positive friendships.
At the Irish World Heritage Centre, children will also enjoy a fun celebration day with a bouncy castle, games and multi-sports, giving them a joyful opportunity to play, laugh, stay active and create lasting summer memories.

Tours, Trips & Summer Adventures
As part of Salford 2026 Summer FunFest, children will enjoy exciting tours, trips and local adventures designed to make the summer holidays memorable, active and inspiring. There will be a trip every Tuesday, including visits to The Lowry, Heaton Park, Imperial War Museum North and the Irish World Heritage Centre.
These trips will give children the chance to explore culture, creativity, nature, history and heritage in a safe, supervised and enjoyable way. They will help children learn beyond the classroom, build confidence, develop curiosity, practise communication skills, make new friends and experience places they may not otherwise have the opportunity to visit.
Alongside the trips, children will continue to enjoy daily sports, creative activities, games, team challenges and enrichment sessions. At the Irish World Heritage Centre, children will also enjoy a special fun day with a bouncy castle, games and multi-sports, creating a joyful celebration of play, friendship and summer adventure.
All trips will be carefully planned, risk assessed and supported by our experienced staff and volunteers, ensuring children are safe, included, encouraged and excited to take part.
Healthy Lunch, Snacks & Drinks
Every child attending Salford 2026 Summer FunFest will receive a healthy lunch, snacks and water each day. Food will be provided by Citywide, helping children stay nourished, hydrated and ready to enjoy a full day of fun activities. We aim to make mealtimes positive, inclusive and relaxed, giving children the energy they need for sports, games, creative sessions, trips and friendship-building throughout the programme. Parents and carers should let us know about any allergies, dietary needs or special food requirements when booking.

Our mentors are friendly, experienced and passionate about helping children have a safe, happy and unforgettable summer. At Salford 2026 Summer FunFest, children will be supported by caring staff and volunteers who create a positive, welcoming environment where every child feels valued, included and encouraged to shine. Our team will help children build confidence, make new friends, try new activities, develop teamwork skills and enjoy each day with a strong sense of belonging. Mentors will provide encouragement, supervision and practical support throughout activities, mealtimes, trips and group sessions, ensuring children feel safe, listened to and excited to return.

Cancellation policy
Extra Conditions and Cancellation Policy Free HAF places are available for eligible children and must be booked in advance. Parents/carers must provide accurate contact details, emergency contacts, medical information, allergies and dietary requirements at the time of booking. Children are expected to follow staff instructions, respect others and take part safely in activities, trips and group sessions. For paid places, payment must be made in advance to secure a space. Cancellations made at least 7 days before the booked session will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days before the session may receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the session, or non-attendance on the day, are non-refundable unless there are exceptional circumstances. If Cede Foundation has to cancel a session, families will be offered a full refund or an alternative date where possible.
My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
