Russell Martin Foundation Summer HAF

Russell Martin Foundation

A summary
Children aged 5 to 14 who qualify for HAF are invited to join our coaches for multi-sports and dance. Participants will also take part in arts and crafts, and our popular daily healthy snack taste test.
We are committed to supporting children’s individual needs, and have put 1:4 ratios in places to ensure the best support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Please select either a HAF or HAF SEND ticket when placing your booking request.
To ensure all participants have a positive and safe experience, if your child has additional needs, please list this in your booking request and we’ll call to learn more about the child and work together to understand how the child can be best supported. There will be times when it is not possible to put the level of support in place required.
All participants receive a healthy lunch and snacks.
Please bring:
- A water bottle
- Suncream (applied before arrival and packed for reapplication)
- A sun hat and weather-appropriate clothes
A few T&Cs from Brighton & Hove City Council:
- Eligibility criteria – Brighton & Hove HAF funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals.
- Limits on bookings – Over Summer, Eequ will permit each eligible participant to be booked on to 16 HAF places across all providers in the city. If a session is not attended, HAF places cannot be added back on to an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, and ideally giving a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into Eequ and reviewing their Schedule.
