This exciting activity session combines music, movement, and social fun to create an energetic experience where young people can skate, laugh, and connect with friends in a lively and supportive environment. With electrifying beats, dazzling lights, and a buzzing atmosphere, our roller disco brings together the best throwback tunes and chart-topping hits to keep everyone moving and smiling on wheels.
Whether young people are stepping onto roller skates for the first time or already confident on wheels, the session offers something for everyone. Staff and volunteers are on hand throughout the session to offer guidance, encouragement, and support, helping beginners feel comfortable and confident as they learn. For those who have never skated before or may feel a little unsure, support frames will also be available, allowing participants to practice safely while building their balance and confidence. Roller skating is a fantastic way to promote physical activity while having fun, encouraging young people to stay active in a way that feels exciting and inclusive. Sessions encourage teamwork, communication, and confidence as participants challenge themselves and celebrate their progress throughout the activity.
After the roller disco session, the fun doesn’t stop. Young people are invited to spend time in our welcoming youth hub space, which offers a relaxed and friendly environment to unwind and socialise. Inside the hub there are a variety of activities available, such as table games, creative activities, music, and comfortable social spaces where young people can chat, relax, or simply enjoy time with friends. Our youth workers will also be around to offer support, guidance, and conversation in a safe and supportive setting.
For those who enjoy being outdoors, our outdoor areas provide additional opportunities for activity and relaxation. Young people can enjoy fresh air while taking part in games, informal sports, or simply spending time togehter.
To round off the session, all participants will be able to enjoy a healthy hot meal, ensuring everyone leaves feeling satisfied and energised. Young people will have the opportunity to choose from a menu of tasty options, allowing them to pick a meal that suits their tastes.

FAQsWhat is the food like?
There is always a range of healthy fruits snacks available at all our sessions, along with plenty of supplies of water and juice. Our hardworking and friendly kitchen team always have a range of options on the menu for dinner time, giving young people the opportunity to choose for themselves, including many healthy options. Any special dietary requirements can always be met, if they are known in advance
What happens if the weather is rubbish?
CYP is a 22 acre site with a range of indoor and outdoor spaces available. Most of the outdoor activities provided can easily be moved and accommodated indoors.
How do ensure a good quality activity is delivered and young people are kept safe?
All our sessions have a minimum of 5 workers. Our dedicated youth hub team, is made up of qualified youth workers and sports coaches who have great knowledge and experience in developing and delivering, safe, fun, inclusive activities that young people can both enjoy and learn from.
What if my child has specific needs, that will need to be met to help them enjoy and participate in sessions?
Although we are not SEND specific provider, our youth hub team regularly work with and provide support to children with SEND related needs. Although we are not in a position to be able to provide 1 to 1 support, we have and are more than happy to chat with parents and carers in advance of sessions to plan for any support that may be needed. Parents or 1 to 1 workers of young people are also able to attend our sessions.
