What we'll do
Get ready to roll, groove, and have an unforgettable time at Blisters Roller Disco! This exciting activity session combines music, movement, and social fun to create an energetic experience where young people can skate, laugh, and connect with friends in a lively and supportive environment. With electrifying beats, dazzling lights, and a buzzing atmosphere, our roller disco brings together the best throwback tunes and chart-topping hits to keep everyone moving and smiling on wheels. Whether young people are stepping onto roller skates for the first time or already confident on wheels, the session offers something for everyone. Staff and volunteers are on hand throughout the session to offer guidance, encouragement, and support, helping beginners feel comfortable and confident as they learn. For those who have never skated before or may feel a little unsure, support frames will also be available, allowing participants to practice safely while building their balance and confidence. Roller skating is a fantastic way to promote physical activity while having fun, encouraging young people to stay active in a way that feels exciting and inclusive. Sessions encourage teamwork, communication, and confidence as participants challenge themselves and celebrate their progress throughout the activity. After the roller disco session, the fun doesn’t stop. Young people are invited to spend time in our welcoming youth hub space, which offers a relaxed and friendly environment to unwind and socialise. Inside the hub there are a variety of activities available, such as table games, creative activities, music, and comfortable social spaces where young people can chat, relax, or simply enjoy time with friends. Our youth workers will also be around to offer support, guidance, and conversation in a safe and supportive setting. For those who enjoy being outdoors, our outdoor areas provide additional opportunities for activity and relaxation. Young people can enjoy fresh air while taking part in games, informal sports, or simply spending time togehter. To round off the session, all participants will be able to enjoy a healthy hot meal, ensuring everyone leaves feeling satisfied and energised. Young people will have the opportunity to choose from a menu of tasty options, allowing them to pick a meal that suits their tastes. This is more than just a skating event – it’s a energetic experience where young people can stay active, build confidence, develop friendships, and enjoy a welcoming community space filled with fun and opportunity!
