A summary

When your child arrives at our track, they’ll be welcomed by our team and introduced to the track, the cars and how everything works. We’ll show them how the electric RC cars are powered, how the controls work and how to handle them safely. They won’t just “have a go”. They’ll learn properly. First, they’ll practise controlling the car on the straights and corners, learning how to brake smoothly and steer accurately. Then they’ll take part in short practice races on our purpose-built outdoor racing track. We group young people by experience level, so beginners feel confident and more experienced drivers are challenged. During the day they’ll rotate through: • Car preparation – checking tyres, tightening wheel nuts, inspecting batteries and learning how to get a car race-ready • Driving sessions – improving lap times, learning racing lines and competing in friendly heats • Marshalling – standing trackside and safely placing cars back on track, building focus and responsibility • Active games and movement breaks – including relay races, reaction games and team challenges to keep everyone moving We build in regular breaks, fruit on arrival if needed, and a healthy lunch during the session. We also talk about “brain food” – explaining how the right food helps concentration and performance. At the end of the day, every young person takes part in timed races and receives recognition for their effort, teamwork or improvement – not just for winning. It’s structured, supportive and exciting – and it all takes place on one of the UK’s leading RC racing tracks, right here in Hillingdon.

Cancellation policy

Places at RC Car Racing Club – Hillingdon are limited and often book out quickly. Funded places are provided to ensure as many eligible young people as possible can attend. If a child is unable to attend, parents/carers must inform us as soon as possible so the place can be offered to another family. Where a booked participant does not attend without notice, or repeatedly fails to attend, we reserve the right to cancel remaining bookings in order to make the place available to others. Our aim is to ensure fair access for all families and maximise attendance across the programme.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
