A summary
This workshop provides practical guidance on fundraising strategies to support your club or organisation’s financial sustainability. You'll explore various ways to raise money, including grant funding, and learn the key 'dos and don'ts' for securing financial support. Through interactive discussions, you'll assess your organisation’s funding needs, compare different fundraising approaches, and develop a tailored plan to meet both short-term and long-term financial goals. You'll leave with actionable strategies to strengthen your organisation’s financial future. We offer this course in two formats: in person and online. Please review the dates and times for each before selecting your preferred option during the booking process. If you choose the online session, a Microsoft Teams link will be emailed to you one day prior to the event. These workshops have been created in partnership with Active Sussex, UK Coaching, East Sussex County Council, Active Eastbourne and Lewes, Active Rother, Healthy Wealden and Active Hastings.
About your mentors
Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
Active Sussex
Tackle inequality empower people to be active
One of the 42 Active Partnerships across England, Active Sussex’s main aim is to address inequality and empower everyone to be active in a way that works for them. Our goal is that everyone across Sussex can access the health and wellbeing benefits of being active. We work with a variety of sectors, groups and partners who want similar outcomes. Such as the charitable, community and voluntary sector, including our activity providers; our health and care partnerships and networks; those who support children and young people both within and outside educational settings; our local authorities, including public health and wellbeing teams; parks and open spaces; leisure trusts and the gatekeepers to outdoor spaces. Predominantly funded by Sport England, we contribute to the government’s agenda to increase the number of people participating in sport and physical activity nationally.
Active Eastbourne and Lewes
Active today. Healthier tomorrow.
Active Eastbourne and Lewes is a physical activity partnership. The partnership brings together organisations including community groups, sports clubs, private and public gyms, physiotherapists, health coaches, the NHS and government organisations. Active Eastbourne and Lewes partnership works with partners to support and promote opportunities for residents to be more physical active across Eastbourne and Lewes District, whilst raising the awareness of the impact of living a physically inactive lifestyle.
Active Rother
Getting Rother Active
Active Rother is a partnership made up of local government organisations, the NHS, activity providers and community groups. The partnership is coordinated by Rother District Council (RDC) and supported by a funding agreement between ESCC and RDC. Through this partnership, Active Rother aim to facilitate and encourage the development of a wide range of quality assured activities that will contribute to increased levels of physical activity within the Rother area.
