A summary
Queertopia is a free education event that seeks to advance students' awareness and engagement with LGBTQ+ themes and voices, through creative engagement. This ispart of Black Sheep Collective’s national lottery-funded, annual arts festival, QueerAF. The aim of the event is to bring together young people from Milton Keynes to connect, question and share perspectives on Freedom, Identity and Togetherness. The event will offer young people the opportunity to creatively engage with these themes through a variety of spotlight sessions and activities. The sessions vary in content and tone, but all will open up creative expression. Young people will develop autonomy, be encouraged and supported to share their sense of self, inspired to find commonalities with others and carve a new tribe of self-motivated, empowered young people.
