A summary
October Half- Term at Playtivity!
At Playtivity, every activity is designed around STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. STEAM learning encourages children to explore, question, design, create and explore problems through hands-on experiences that build confidence, creativity and resilience.
Monday 26 October – Return of the Robots 🤖
Kick off half term with a morning packed with circuits, coding and robots. Children will experiment with Snap Circuits before getting hands-on with Botley and Code & Go challenges, including some Halloween-themed robot missions. We’ll also enjoy snack time, Playtivity Power-Ups and active games before sitting down together for healthy and delicious lunch. A menu is provided for your child to choose from!
Tuesday 27 October – Fantasy World Makers Studio 🔮
Step into a world of imagination and creativity. Children will design and build their own 3D fantasy worlds before creating colourful Fantasy Galaxy Jars to take home. Alongside plenty of making and creating, we’ll add in fun Playtivity Power-Ups, games, snack time and a sociable healthy lunch.
Wednesday 28 October – Spooky Science Spectacular 👻
A morning of wonderfully weird science. Children will make their own spooky slime and investigate exciting experiments including Fizzing Phantom Potions and Smoking Phoenix Ashes. Between experiments, we’ll recharge with snack time and lively Playtivity Power-Ups before enjoying lunch together.
Thursday 29 October – Things That Go Bump in the Night 🧟♂️
Discover the creatures and creations that come alive after dark. Children will visit our inflatable Discovery Dome for a special nocturnal animals experience before creating their own clay “Fabulous Beasts”. There’ll also be active games and Playtivity Power-Ups throughout the morning, followed by lunch and healthy-food chat.
Friday 30 October – The Big Makers Autumn Festival 💀
We’re ending the week with a colourful celebration of making. Children will explore Day of the Dead-inspired STEAM activities and design their own Halloween polymer-clay pens to take home. Add in our Playtivity Power-Ups, games, snack time and a relaxed group lunch and it’s a fun-filled finale to half term.

Hi, I’m Lianne! With around 20 years teaching in primary schools in the UK and worldwide, I’ve turned my passion for creativity and discovery into Playtivity, an activity club where children can explore, build, and invent in a hands-on, playful way. I first fell in love with STEAM while teaching in British schools abroad, using a wealth of resources and even MIT University-inspired programs. Now, I bring all that excitement to every session, helping children get creative and inventive, meet new people and challenge themselves in a safe space— all through activities that will spark curiosity and imagination. Whether it’s a Saturday morning adventure or a holiday workshop, every session is designed to be full of creativity, curiosity and PLAYTIVITY!
