A summary
As part of a vibrant summer programme at Playland, the UV Spray Painting Project, led by artist Mark Kellett, will give young people aged 11–16 the opportunity to experiment with large-scale UV and spray paint techniques, transforming blank surfaces into bold, glowing artworks. Participants will work together to develop a theme inspired by their ideas, experiences and connection to Portsmouth, exploring self-expression, creativity and a stronger sense of belonging.
Across the project, young people will learn new artistic skills, collaborate with their peers, and see their ideas come to life under UV light in a striking exhibition of their work. The project will culminate in a celebratory public exhibition, opening with a daytime Silent Disco the weekend before Victorious.
