What we'll do
Our Summer Workshops are designed to build confidence, creativity and real performance skills in a fun, supportive environment. WEEK ONE: VARIETY SHOW For ages 8–16, students will take part in daily classes in dance, drama and singing, led by our experienced Boury teachers. Alongside performance training, they will explore activities such as yoga, wellbeing workshops, movie musicals, costume design and creative crafts. Throughout the week they will collaborate in groups to create their own original performances, finishing with a celebratory Variety Show on the final afternoon where they can perform alongside their new friends. For ages 4–7, our younger performers will enjoy five days of high-energy dance, drama and singing sessions tailored to their age group. They will also take part in crafts, confidence building drama games and plenty of friendship focused activities, all designed to boot creativity, self-expression and joy in performance. They too will perform on the final day at 12pm. WEEK ONE: VARIETY SHOW For ages 8–16, students will take part in daily classes in dance, drama and singing, led by our experienced Boury teachers. From auditions and casting on Monday to a full performance for family and friends on Friday, this action packed week gives young performers the chance to experience the excitement of putting on a production at speed. Alongside learning songs, scenes and choreography, students will develop teamwork, confidence and performance skills as they work together to bring a show to life. It is fast paced, challenging, incredibly rewarding and always one of the highlights of the summer. For ages 4–7, our younger performers will enjoy their own mini musical adventure. Through singing, dancing, storytelling, drama games and creative activities, they will work together throughout the week to rehearse and perform a short musical presentation for family and friends. Designed especially for younger children, the week focuses on imagination, confidence, friendship and having lots of fun whilst introducing them to the magic of putting on a show. It is a Summer Week full of energy, creativity and fun, where every child leaves feeling braver, prouder and (hopefully!) excited to return.

#PerformingArtsForEveryone
We are a not-for-profit performing arts school & studio designed to increase access to professional performing arts Our mission is to increase access to professional performing arts for young people by providing affordable training and career opportunities from our rehearsal studios in Lambeth. To increase diversity in the arts through that access and to build confidence, creativity, community cohesion and provide a safe place to be. Our vision is of a world where there are no barriers to the performing arts, where Young People feel represented, valued and empowered. We action these through our five core values, to ignite a passion for performing, nurture actors and artists through that journey, spotlight our community wherever possible, to act and be proactive in seeking opportunities and facing inequalities and to empower those we work with in the next part of their journey. We believe in #PerformingArtsForEveryone
Which Class is right for me?
Children in reception - year two will join our Mini B's Session from 10am - 4pm each day Young People from year three - year eleven will join our Main School from 10am - 4pm each day. If your child is moving into year two from September it is at your discretion which group you sign up to. Those with more experience may be fine in the Main School, if it is their first time participating in something like this then we recommend they try Mini B's. If you are not eligible for HAF Funding (i.e receive benefit related free school meals) but are interested in signing up then the course costs £80 - please visit our website to book your place www.thebouryacademy.co.uk
