Embark on a transformative journey with Pathfinders 2026— a sacred course designed for young men, ages 15-25, to experience deep initiation and powerful rites of passage. Guided by Phil Greenwood of Sacred Earth and the diverse team of Pathfinders men, this immersive experience offers a profound three-fold journey that helps young males step into their true power, wisdom, and responsibility. 1. The Descending Threshold - May 22nd-24th 2026 This weekend marks the first step of the journey—preparing for and separating from the boyhood stage. Through purification ceremonies, storytelling, and sacred rituals, they will engage in a “letting go of the boy” ceremony, loosening the cords of childhood to create space for new growth. Three transformative underworld journeys will lead them into the depths of their shadow, exploring both the healthy and toxic masculine archetypes. Guided by the wisdom of the Warrior, Lover, Magician, and King, they will begin to understand the path to becoming men. 2. The Journey - July 3rd-5th 2026 The heart of the initiation experience is a 3 day adventure in the wild. This hands-on journey over land teaches self-reliance, survival techniques, natural navigation, and Apache scout skills. As they cultivate their inner compass and deepen their intuition, they will develop a profound sense of place and belonging. Through teamwork and leadership challenges, they’ll strengthen bonds with each other and discover the power of community. This is where they truly begin to connect with their inner direction and vision. 3. The Return - October 2nd-4th 2026 The final step is the return to the village, where they are welcomed back into society as initiated. Through a purification and naming ceremony, they integrate their new wisdom, strength, and maturity. This powerful return is marked by celebration and honour, witnessed by their families and community. They are no longer boys—they are brothers, leaders, and men of the future. Join Pathfinders 2026 and support your young man on his journey into adulthood. Through this sacred initiation, he will gain the tools and insights to lead with confidence, empathy, and purpose. Hello, I'm Phil Greenwood. I am the founder of Sacred Earth. I'm a former Royal Marine Commando but have spent the last 20 years working with young people in outdoor education and taking adults on deep nature connection journeys. I'm an experienced group facilitator, mentor and naturalist. I have studied, practiced and taught advanced shamanic and connection practices from both the British Isles and other indigenous cultures around the world. I'm also part of the global 8 Shields nature mentoring movement. I strongly believe that people need nature based rites-of-passage programmes to help them find their place in the world. At Sacred Earth we aim to do just that. Our courses and programmes help people develop their social and emotional intelligence through a range of experiential learning programmes, which can be tailored to and delivered at a site of your choice. We encourage creativity, community, ingenuity and a deep connection with the natural world.
