A summary
Join us for a Family Celebration at the Paper Garden, where we can enjoy the garden in mid-summer together. A relaxed day where you and your families can help with gardening tasks such as watering and harvesting, or join in with optional workshops, such as willow weaving, tea tasting and bug hunting. Lunch will also be available from 12pm.
Please note, any children attending must be accompanied by an adult. Each person attending must complete the sign up form.
The Paper Garden has an indoor community classroom, built by over 3,000 people, and a beautiful garden. It has been created on the site of the old Daily Mail printworks in Canada Water. In 2021 it moved from its original location on the site of the old printing press to its current site of the former paper warehouse. It provides an invaluable community-focused green space in this rapidly developing area.

Global Generation
Founded in 2004, Global Generation is an educational charity, which works together with local children and young people, businesses, residents and families in Camden, Islington and Southwark. We co-create gardens with the local community and currently have 3 active sites in King’s Cross and Southwark. We aim to showcase how disused urban spaces can become an oasis for plants and people to grow. We combine activities such as urban food growing, carpentry, cooking and eating together with dialogue, story-telling, creative writing, silence and stillness. These practices create the conditions for people to come together, reflect on who they are and what they are a part of and, from that space, practically contribute to ecological and social change.
