Over 50's Aerobics block mentored by Active Hastings
A summary
Join Heidi for an aerobics class specifically designed for the over 50s. Come and join us for a fun & friendly exercise class. This class is suitable for all abilities. Don't worry if you haven't exercised for a long time, all exercises have adaptions or alternatives, hard and easy options available. Please bring a bottle of water with you and wear something that is easy to move in and trainers. Also, if you have an exercise mat and some small dumbbell weights, please bring them too, however, this is optional so do still come along if you don’t have them. If you’ve had surgery within the past 12 weeks, it’s important you follow your doctor's advice on getting active again. For information on getting active after surgery visit the NHS webpage ‘Getting back to normal’ https://www.nhs.uk/tests-and-treatments/having-surgery/recovery/ or call the Active Hastings GP Link Worker on 01424 451051. Active Hastings wants everyone to be able to join in, no matter their budget. We use a simple sliding scale ticket system so you can choose what you can afford: • £3 – the suggested price that helps cover the cost of running the session • £2 – a lower price if money is tight • Free – for people on low incomes or receiving benefits The free tickets work on trust. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.

Active Hastings Instructor
I am an experienced instructor, teaching exercise to music classes for over 20 years. I specialise in working with women and girls designing and developing programmes to help them become more active. I have a big interest in nutrition and weight management and I coordinate the Active Hastings weight management programme and also run my own nutrition business. I am a qualified personal trainer, exercise to music instructor, exercise referral instructor, pre and post natal instructor and I have a level 4 in Obesity and Diabetes. I am currently working towards my level 4 in Nutrition and will hold a membership with the Royal Society of Public Health.

Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours before the start to receive a full refund.If you need to cancel your booking, no problem at all, just let us know at least 24 hours before the session. If you don’t cancel and don’t attend, it will be recorded as a no show. Our sessions often fill up quickly, so to give everyone a fair chance to take part, we operate a three strike policy. If you book a free ticket and don’t attend three sessions without cancelling, any future free bookings will also be cancelled.
