A summary
Young people will have the chance to explore outdoor theatre, including through creative writing and 'play in a day' style sessions. The session will begin at YPC where the group will enjoy a baked potato bar together, with water and healthy snacks (such as fruit, vegetable sticks or yoghurt). We will then go out to a green space within Pocklington for a 3 hour workshop from Thunk-it Theatre. This session includes creative writing where the young people will work together to craft story ideas, develop characters and create original scenes inspired by the outdoor environment. We will be focusing on imagination and shaping their ideas into theatre. Water, cup and healthy snacks will be taken with us for the outdoor session. The session is designed to help young people build their confidence, try new things and enjoy a positive shared experience with their peers. We may be able to accommodate parents and carers supporting their child to access and enjoy our sessions, but please get in touch with us in advance to agree this.
