A summary
Online Scratch Coding Programme (Ages 6+) The Wonder Lab Project delivers engaging online Scratch Coding sessions for children aged 6 years and above through both one-to-one tuition and small group workshops. Designed for beginners and developing coders, our interactive sessions introduce children to the exciting world of computer programming using Scratch, a visual coding platform developed by MIT. Children learn to create their own games, animations, stories, quizzes, and interactive projects while developing essential digital and problem-solving skills. Our experienced instructors guide learners step-by-step through coding concepts including sequencing, loops, variables, events, conditional statements, and debugging. Sessions encourage creativity, logical thinking, perseverance, and computational thinking in a fun and supportive environment. Children can progress at their own pace through personalised one-to-one lessons or collaborate with peers in our small group sessions, building teamwork and communication skills alongside technical knowledge. The programme is suitable for home-educated learners, after-school enrichment, beginners, and children wishing to advance their coding abilities. As confidence grows, learners can progress to more advanced coding, robotics, game design, and technology-based projects offered through The Wonder Lab Project. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of creators, innovators, engineers, and technology leaders through accessible, engaging, and hands-on STEM learning experiences. Key Learning Outcomes: Introduction to coding and programming concepts Game and animation design Problem-solving and critical thinking Creativity and digital literacy Computational thinking Confidence in technology Collaboration and teamwork (group sessions) Preparation for future STEM and technology pathways
