A summary
Our holiday activity and food (HAF) programme combines outdoor learning, animal care, creativity, physical activity and healthy food within a supportive environment designed to build confidence, wellbeing and social skills. Children will enjoy hands-on pony grooming, pony walking sessions where they'll learn how to care for and safely interact with horses, and guided woodland walks that encourage explorations, teamwork and a connection with nature. Creative development is supported through nature based arts and crafts using natural and seasonal materials, giving the children the chance to express themselves while learning about the environment. The children will take part in practical food preparation activities that promote independence, life skills ands positive relationship with healthy eating. During each session, children will prepare and enjoy nutritious meals and have hands-on experience making their own meals for lunch and snacks, while in a beautiful setting. Please note that although the children will be grooming and caring for the animals, this session does not include horse riding.

Budleigh Salterton Riding School is a family run business which provides lessons, hacks, treks, equestrian holidays, riding courses and pony days. We are situated on the edge of Woodbury Common in a peaceful country setting, within easy reach of Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Exeter. This provides the ideal location for country rides over heathland with spectacular views of the Jurassic coastline. The British Horse Society Approved riding school also has two large all-weather menages for flatwork and jumping. BHS qualified staff run term time education courses including alternative education programmes and changing lives through horses There is a stunning Oak Lodge Cafe and conference centre on site - Cafe is open Thursdays to Saturdays.
