What we'll do

Please note all children from each family MUST be booked onto the event in order to attend. This Summer we are offering Family sessions based at our centre in Parkham. We are offering drop in sessions for families to attend who may not otherwise be able to access clubs due to anxiety, SEMH needs etc. In addition to offering family based activities, support and advice, we offer an open space with trampolines, nest swing and outside play . Many of the activities focus on childrens' sensory needs and likes. We have a sensory room, crafting area, games area and cooking station. Activities on offer include lego, magnetic blocks and stickle bricks. There will be a games area, crafting activity and cookery activity at each session. Staff are very experienced in supporting neurodiverse, non verbal and children with emotional struggles including anxiety. Snacks and lunch will also be provided, please make it clear when booking how many family members will be attending and any dietary requirements. Please also provide as much information in relation to their SEND needs and the most effective ways to support to enable us to offer your child the best experience.

Nurture in Nature Children and Families CIC

Nurturing Wellbeing & Resilience for Children

Nurture in Nature is set in the heart of the countryside and provides a safe open space to access to activities and support for children with SEND. Nurture in Nature supports children with SEND needs. As a specialist provider we run small groups for children who require additional support. The children have a range of abilities, and our sessions are designed to offer fun, inspirational and interactive activities. Children can “just be!”, have fun, learn new skills, and interact with other children with similar needs. Our highly experienced and skilled members of the team encourage children to engage in activities that will help them develop skills, improve confidence, and build relationships. We may also commission external providers or plan trips and outings with the children.

Family SEND sessions

We will be offering 3 hour specialist Family SEND sessions at Nurture in Nature Parkham. These are mixed age groups. Families will be supported by the team to access a group as a family and engage in activities with other families in a similar position to them.

Aim 1

SEND children to access a wonderful experience with qualified and skilled staff that they would otherwise be unable to access without their parents / carers.

Family expectations

Parent / carers will be responsible for their children during the sessions. Staff will be here to offer advice, support and structure the session and activities.

Cancellation Policy

Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.Please only book your child/ren onto the days they can attend. If you need to cancel, please give as much notice as possible to enable us to offer another child a place. If a child fails to attend two booked sessions, we will cancel all of their other bookings for the remainder of the holiday.

My experience consists of a leisure activity, on a specific date(s), and therefore the 14-day ‘cooling off period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
