About your mentor
North Star Learning Hub CIC
Guiding children back to confidence!
North Star Learning Hub CIC is a trauma-informed community learning hub based in Hartlepool. We provide inclusive, nurturing educational and wellbeing programmes for children and families, including alternative provision, holiday activities, family projects and accredited learning pathways. Our work supports children and young people aged 4–19, particularly those who may be struggling with mainstream education due to anxiety, SEND, EBSA or reduced attendance. We offer small-group environments, practical hands-on learning, AQA Unit Award Scheme accreditation and Functional Skills in Maths and English. Whether attending holiday provision, wellbeing programmes or longer-term learning support, families can expect a calm, creative space where children feel safe, valued and able to rebuild confidence. At North Star, we believe learning should feel accessible, empowering and human.
When you arrive
When you arrive, a friendly member of our team will greet you and take the register. Children may receive a coloured sticker to help organise small groups for the day. Gentle settling-in activities will be ready so children can ease into the session at their own pace. Drinks and healthy snacks are available throughout, and our team ensures every child feels safe, welcomed and ready to take part. Bags and coats are stored safely, and parents are welcome to share any updates at drop-off to help us support your child.
