The programme blends physical activity, STEM learning, creative challenges and digital skills to keep young people active, curious and confident throughout the day.
Each session includes structured enrichment, opportunities for teamwork and problem solving, and at least 60 minutes of physical activity. Participants also receive a healthy hot meal each day, planned and reviewed by a Registered Dietitian to meet School Food Standards. Staff are DBS checked, safeguarding trained and first aid qualified, and the programme supports young people with additional needs through inclusive delivery and reasonable adjustments.

Easter Fusion Futures Camp with UKAEA
STEM Workshop: 3D Printing and Design
Participants explore digital design and engineering through a hands on 3D printing workshop. They learn how to create simple objects and understand how technology supports innovation and manufacturing.
Creative Challenge: Junk Modelling
Young people work in teams to design and build models using recycled materials. The activity develops creativity, teamwork, communication and resilience while promoting sustainability.
Physical Activity: HADO Augmented Reality Dodgeball
Participants take part in high energy augmented reality dodgeball. The game blends physical activity with technology and encourages movement, coordination and teamwork.
Physical Activity: Football Skills and Team Games
Outdoor sports sessions include football drills, small sided matches and fitness challenges. Activities focus on coordination, teamwork and confidence while ensuring participants reach the recommended daily activity levels.
Lunch Break
A hot meal is prepared on site by Fusion Energy Café. Menus meet School Food Standards and provide a balanced, nutritious meal for all participants.
May Half Term STEM, Sports and Esports Camp
Esports Tournament and Strategy Games
Participants take part in supervised esports competitions and strategy games. Sessions develop digital literacy, communication skills and teamwork while encouraging positive gaming behaviour.
STEM Workshop: Robotics and Coding
Young people build simple robots and learn the basics of programming. The activity promotes problem solving, creativity and logical thinking.
Career Inspiration: Local Employers and Apprentices
Guest speakers from local employers and apprenticeships share career journeys and answer questions. Participants learn about career pathways and opportunities in technology, engineering and digital industries.
Physical Activity: Team Sports and Group Games
Participants take part in relay races, ball games and group challenges. Activities ensure at least 60 minutes of physical activity and help build teamwork and confidence.
Lunch Break
Fresh hot meals are prepared by Fusion Energy Café using seasonal local ingredients and designed to meet School Food Standards.
STEM, Sports and Esports Camp
STEM Lab: 3D Printing and CAD Design
Participants design objects using CAD software and produce them using a 3D printer. This workshop introduces engineering concepts and provides hands on experience with digital manufacturing.
Physical Activity: Fitness Circuit Challenge
Young people complete rotating exercise stations and movement challenges. The activity encourages teamwork and supports understanding of the benefits of regular exercise.
Physical Activity: HADO Augmented Reality Dodgeball
Participants take part in fast paced augmented reality dodgeball matches which combine technology with physical activity.
Physical Activity: Sports Finale and Staff versus Students Game
The programme finishes with a celebration event featuring favourite sports and a fun staff versus students game. Participants reflect on the week, celebrate achievements and stay active through engaging team challenges.
Lunch Break
Participants receive a hot meal prepared by Fusion Energy Café and take part in group discussions about nutrition and healthy choices.
The programme supports the key HAF priorities of physical activity, enriching activities, food provision and nutrition education. It ensures children remain active, learn new skills and build confidence during the school holidays.
What to Expect Each DayEach session runs between 9-3PM and follows a clear structure to keep young people engaged and active. The day includes at least 60 minutes of physical activity such as football, fitness challenges or esports. Young people then rotate through enrichment workshops including robotics, 3D printing, esports strategy sessions, creative design tasks and team problem solving activities.
A hot, healthy meal is served daily and meets School Food Standards. Time is built in for social interaction and supervised downtime to ensure a balanced experience. Nutrition education is delivered through practical activities such as label reading, balanced plate building and food budgeting discussions.
