A summary
Delivered by the team at North Notts College and hosted at The Bridge Skills Hub, our Holiday Activities and Food programme is packed with energy, creativity and fun for young people aged 9 to 16. Each day is active from the start. Young people take part in football, fitness circuits and high energy augmented reality dodgeball. Every session helps them reach at least 60 minutes of movement, building strength, teamwork and confidence. The fun does not stop there. Participants dive into hands on STEM sessions with robotics, 3D printing and virtual reality. They explore esports, take on creative design challenges and work together in team games that boost communication and problem solving skills. There is always something new to try and something different to master. A healthy hot meal is provided every day, carefully planned and reviewed by a Registered Dietitian to meet School Food Standards. Young people also join practical nutrition workshops where they learn how to build balanced meals, understand portion sizes and make smart choices on a budget. The programme is welcoming and inclusive, with adjustments in place to support young people with additional needs. All staff are DBS checked, safeguarding trained and first aid qualified, so parents can feel confident their child is safe and supported. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance through the HAF system. Join us for a holiday experience that keeps young people active, learning and smiling all week long.

About your mentor
North Notts College and The Bridge Skills Hub
Skills, innovation and community focus
North Notts College is a further education college in Worksop offering vocational, adult and higher-level courses designed around skills employers need and pathways into careers, apprenticeships or further study. The college works closely with employers and partners in the local area to ensure your training matches real job opportunities. You also access higher education locally through The Bridge Skills Hub in the heart of Worksop town centre, where the college delivers higher-level courses accredited by partner universities and supports students who want to retrain, upskill or start a degree without travelling far from home. This partnership extends North Notts College’s reach into the community, supports town-centre regeneration and gives learners and local businesses more options for skills, training and development.
What to Expect Each Day
Each session runs between 9-3PM and follows a clear structure to keep young people engaged and active. The day includes at least 60 minutes of physical activity such as football, fitness challenges or esports. Young people then rotate through enrichment workshops including robotics, 3D printing, esports strategy sessions, creative design tasks and team problem solving activities. A hot, healthy meal is served daily and meets School Food Standards. Time is built in for social interaction and supervised downtime to ensure a balanced experience. Nutrition education is delivered through practical activities such as label reading, balanced plate building and food budgeting discussions. A full timetable and menu will be displayed on site each day for young people and parents.
