What we'll do

We provide enriching activities that excite and challenge young people. Offering a hot breakfast/brunch on the days we are open to engage with others and reduce any isolation. Music sessions - one-to-one music tuition, songwriting and podcasting workshops. Rehearsal for bands. Physical sports - multi sports sessions will have a variety of team and individual sports designed to encourage participation, teamwork and improve fitness levels. Activities will include football, badminton and self defence, will be accommodated in the large hall; table tennis and pool will be played in the games room. Cooking - the young people will learn how to cook healthy meals from scratch using fresh ingredients in our purpose-built cookery room using air fryers and slow cookers. These sessions will support young people in developing practical life skills with an understanding of nutrition and the importance of following a balanced diet. Baking sessions will include school cake, brownies and cupcakes. Young people will take home the food they have made to share with their family. Arts & Crafts - young people will use their creativity to design and make cards and paint canvases. Gardening - clearing outdoor flower beds and planters in preparation for sowing seeds and planting spring bulbs.

The direct activities we provide for young people are devised to be engaging, free and enabling: supporting and encouraging young people to develop their own skills and at the same time raising their aspirations and future goals. We work alongside young people to build up confidence to recognise their own self worth to become supportive peer leaders through volunteering. 60 years of supporting young people in the Norris Green/Clubmoor area.
