A summary
Over the month of May we will meet for 2 week on a Sunday on our very own local community gardens Q gardens (Rochdale ) Each week we'll have a new and exciting set of activities all based outdoors. (Don't worry we have shelter and access to a kitchen if the weather turns bad)
An idea of Activities planned...
These 2 weeks we will be focusing on human senses,
-Nature wreath with grass and straw
Natural playdough and clay bowls with leaf imprints
With a focus on learning about mindfulness and a focus on learning about why nature is good for our mental health eg touching the ground with a bare feet
Wind chimes with sticks, hand painted and decorated
With a focus on learning about bird song and wind
Study wildlife
Pick, cook and eat our own food from the gardens!
Wildlife hunt,
Learn about the different butterflies, moths and minibeasts that live amongst us!
Therapeutic arts and crafts.
sow your own seeds and watch their progress each week!
Tea party and picnic in a beautiful natural setting! Most importantly we will learn and celebrate the natural world around us and inspire each other to be sustainable and responsible home.
Play and spend time with nature
Adults cannot accompany children on the site due to limited space. Pls only book on the child on the eequ form
***There is only a compost toilet at Q gardens***

I am a primary school teacher who works across year groups. A qualified forest school leader and a scout leader for 10-14 year olds. I have experience in leading walks for all age groups. I am an outdoor and camping enthusiast who enjoys organising walks and anything involving the outdoors. -First aid trained -update service full enhanced dbs Over 8 +years experience with children -vast experience in working with special needs children
