A few T&Cs from Brighton & Hove City Council:
• Eligibility criteria – Brighton & Hove HAF funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals.
• Limits on bookings – Over Winter, Eequ will permit each eligible participant to be booked on to 4 HAF places across all providers in the city. If a session is not attended, HAF places cannot be added back on to an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, and ideally giving a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into Eequ and reviewing their Schedule.
Need to KnowFood & Drink: Children have access to water to fill up their water bottles. To ensure all children are safe, please note that all our Holiday Clubs are nut-free zones, including items that state ‘May include nuts’. Please note that if you have a booking through HAF, lunch is provided, and children will only need to bring a refillable water bottle.
Update Details: Please update any medical or contact details within your Eequ profile.
Medication and SEND needs: If your child requires medication or has SEND needs, please contact JAG at hello@junioradventuresgroup.co.uk stating that you have made a HAF booking and that you need to provide us with your child’s medical or SEND information. You will be asked by the team to complete the relevant forms. These must be completed before your child attends.
Suitable Clothing: With sport & activity on offer every day - we suggest comfortable and practical activewear to tackle a range of onsite facilities. We suggest packing spare clothes for your child, that you don’t mind getting messy due to our outdoor play philosophy and arts & craft activities. For younger children – we recommend packing an extra pair of clothes for any toilet accidents that may happen throughout the day.
Unattended Sessions: Make sure you don’t miss out on the fun! However, if your child cannot attend please make any amendments to your booking via your Eequ (Menu > Schedule). This will free up space and allow other families to benefit.
Phones: We ask that all parents/carers refrain from using their phones/smart devices at the club.
