A summary

Looking for a summer holiday that gets children moving, exploring and trying something new? Holiday HQ: The Great Outdoors invites children aged 4–11 to step outside, get moving, and enjoy screen-free adventures inspired by the natural resources we encounter every day.

Children will take part in outdoor play, nature-led creativity, and exploration-based challenges that are inclusive for all ages, from younger children who need a helping hand to those who want more independence, adventure, and real-world experiences. From navigating spaces and working as a team to hands-on making using natural materials, everyday balances movement, creativity and confidence-building in a safe, supportive setting.

With flexible booking options and trusted childcare delivered by experienced teams, Holiday HQ gives families peace of mind while children enjoy busy, enriching days and come home happy-tired.

A few T&Cs from Nottinghamshire Council:
• Eligibility criteria – Nottinghamshire HAF-funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals.
• Limits on bookings – Over Summer, Eequ will permit each eligible participant to be booked onto 4 HAF places across all providers in the County. If a session is not attended, HAF placements cannot be added back onto an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, ideally with a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible, to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into Eequ and reviewing their Schedule.

Need to Know

Food & Drink: Children have access to water to fill up their water bottles. To ensure all children are safe, please note that all our Holiday Clubs are nut-free zones, including items that state ‘May include nuts’. Please note that if you have a booking through HAF, lunch is provided, and children will only need to bring a refillable water bottle.

Update Details: Please update any medical or contact details within your Eequ profile.

Medication and SEND needs: If your child requires medication or has SEND needs, please contact JAG at hello@junioradventuresgroup.co.uk stating that you have made a HAF booking and that you need to provide us with your child’s medical or SEND information. You will be asked by the team to complete the relevant forms. These must be completed before your child attends.

Suitable Clothing: With sport & activity on offer every day - we suggest comfortable and practical activewear to tackle a range of onsite facilities. We suggest packing spare clothes for your child, that you don’t mind getting messy due to our outdoor play philosophy and arts & craft activities. For younger children – we recommend packing an extra pair of clothes for any toilet accidents that may happen throughout the day.

Unattended Sessions: Make sure you don’t miss out on the fun! However, if your child cannot attend please make any amendments to your booking via your Eequ (Menu > Schedule). This will free up space and allow other families to benefit.

Phones: We ask that all parents/carers refrain from using their phones/smart devices at the club.

For further queries, email us at hello@junioradventuresgroup.co.uk or call on 0333 577 1533.
