A summary
Come and join us in the late afternoon to prepare our dinner! We will cook and eat a Chilli con Carne & a delicious Veggie Chilli together. We'll also make a variety of dips, salads, Easter veggie board and tiny tortillas as part of our Mexican feast! For our Easter themed desserts we'll create puffed nests and brownie eggs with treats inside. We are cooking with as many ingredients from the Southside Farm as possible and we'll cook everything from scratch. There'll be snacks and a break from all the action midway with fruits on a skewer and popcorn to munch on. Along with the cooking you can enjoy some Easter themed colouring, playdough and games.

Growing Local is a community interest company that encourages and educates communities to grow, cook and eat local food. In the summer of 2023 Growing Local took over a new 19-acre agricultural site, The Southside Farm, on the southern edge of Hereford to establish a veg box scheme, a children’s educational garden and heritage orchards. We work with schools and communities delivering educational programmes and events in sustainable food growing, nature, crafting, cooking and more.
