Venue update: Our 2026 winter Messy Makers will take place at Hope Community Project (40 Ling House, Long Ley, Heath Town, WV10 0HH) Please note spaces at Messy Makers are limited. You can only attend if there is both an adult and child place available to book, and you will need to book both. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Messy Makers Stay & Play Creative Sensory Messy Play where little hands create big adventures It’s time to splash, squish & giggle! Get ready to dive into a world where mess equals magic! Join us at Messy Makers for an unforgettable sensory adventure where your little ones can explore, create, and discover through the wonderful world of mess! Our specially designed stay and play sessions are perfect for curious preschoolers (ages 0-4) and their grown-ups who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. What Awaits Your Little Explorer: There will be different creative sensory activities each week, including... Rainbow Sensory Stations: - Squishy slime mountains to poke and stretch - Fluffy foam clouds for tiny hands to explore - Gooey jelly play that wobbles and jiggles Creative Expression Zones: -Giant paper canvases for whole-body painting - Colourful finger paints that beg to be mixed - Textured collage making with fabric scraps and feathers Splish-Splash Water Play: - Bubble mountains that try to reach the ceiling - Floating and sinking experiments with colourful objects Why Messy Play Matters: For Your Child: - Develops fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination - Encourages creativity and self-expression - Builds confidence through exploration - Enhances sensory processing and awareness - Promotes problem-solving and critical thinking For You: - Quality bonding time without screen distractions - Meet other families in a relaxed, judgment-free environment - Watch your child's natural curiosity unfold - Create lasting memories of joyful discovery "The best kind of learning happens when children don't even realize they're learning - they're just having the time of their lives!" All children must be accompanied by an adult, please book an adult place with your child's place. Limited spaces available - because the best messes happen in small groups! Safety First: All materials are non-toxic, washable, and age-appropriate. Our trained facilitators ensure a safe environment where children can explore freely while parents and carers relax and enjoy the experience with them.

Session details

When: Every Friday, 10:00am 11.30am 10.00am -10.15am arrive and get your aprons on! 10.15am -11.00am creative messy play time 11.00am -11.30am clean-up time, drinks, snacks and time to chat, with toys and books available to keep little explorers entertained once they’re all cleaned up. Who: Children ages 0-4 with their caregivers Cost: FREE – (pay what you can donations are welcomed) What to Wear: Old clothes or bring a change - we provide aprons but guarantee nothing stays clean! What to Bring: Your sense of adventure A change of clothes (trust us!) A towel A camera to capture those paint-covered smiles An open mind about the beautiful chaos of childhood What We Provide: All messy materials and art supplies Child-sized aprons and wipes Healthy snacks and drinks for after the fun Clean-up stations (because we know you have to go home!)
