A summary
We provide an informative session to help parents and carers understand masking in autism. This two hour workshop provides an overview of masking, exploring how individuals may consciously or unconsciously hide aspects of their identity to avoid negative judgement and attention. Parents will learn to recognise the signs of masking, understand its emotional and developmental impact, and gain practical strategies to support their children. This is also an opportunity to meet other parents and to swap advice and support each other. **This workshop is for parents only. For professional training, please see https://www.wves.wolverhampton.gov.uk/training
