A summary
Manchester Raiders Kabaddi Club is proud to launch a new Kabaddi academy aimed at promoting the ancient, fast-paced sport and creating exciting opportunities for young people across the community. This full-contact sport, open to both men and women (with separate training sessions), welcomes all levels of experience – no previous background or club affiliation is required. Participants will be coached by experienced professionals and will benefit from structured training sessions designed to develop skill, fitness, and confidence. Those who show potential will have the chance to represent clubs at tournaments nationwide, and may even go on to compete in the British Kabaddi League, which is broadcast live on BBC Sport and available on iPlayer.

The 3 hour session will start at 10am till 1pm. This includes mat set up time and pack up time. Men and women will be coached on different courts.

The organisation has been serving the community since 2009 and is now home to 5 sports clubs for young people (Taekwondo, Boxing, Football, Muay Thai and Kabaddi) yoga, dance, Zumba, circuit training, walking football, badminton, cricket, healthy cooking and healthy lifestyle programmes for adults. The organisation offers over's 150 hours of organised activities per month. The organisation is situated in the most deprived ward in Oldham and due to the demographic base of the organisation, 95% of our beneficiaries are from BAME communities that are in the LSEG group
