Looking for a fun, energetic, and safe environment for your child during the holidays? At Active Holidays, we pack each day with exciting activities that keep kids moving, smiling, and making new friends!

We aim to swim daily, this is a fun session that children can enjoy less structure and build confidence in the poolside environment.

Here’s a sneak peek at a typical action-packed day:

⌚08:45 – Arrival & Warm Welcome
Children are greeted by our friendly team and settle in with light games and social time.
⚡ 09:30 – Morning Energizer
We kick off the day with a high-energy group activity to get everyone moving and motivated!
⌚10:00 – Multi-Sports Session
From football to dodgeball, basketball to cricket – we rotate a variety of sports to keep things fresh and fun. A short break is included to recharge.
⌚12:00 - Lunch
Time to refuel! Kids enjoy their packed lunches in a relaxed, social setting.
⌚12:30 – Recharge Activity
A calmer session to balance the day – think team challenges, creative games, or mindfulness activities.

We finish strong with two exciting sports or team games to round off the day with energy and teamwork.

While we are inclusive and committed to supporting eligible families with children who have additional needs, we are a non-specialist HAF provider. This means we may need to speak with you to understand your child’s individual needs and ensure our provision is a suitable and safe environment where they can be appropriately supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do we swim?
A. We aim to swim for around 1 hour per day, times may vary. Non Swimmers will be allocated space in the pool but will be asked to stay in the designated area at all times. We will ensure all swimmers get the support they need.

Please Note: Swimmers may be asked to do a competency to swim test by lifeguards, this may also take place on multiple occasions for all swimming abilities to ensure safety in the water.

Q. How will you meet my child’s individual needs?
A. In reality all children are different and all have different needs. We aim to have a programme that is fun and has a variety of activities in a positive environment.

In some instances children may have individual needs, children may find it difficult to adjust to our multi activity days. The venue may be busy, the building size and scale of the sports halls can be intimidating.

The programme is designed to be active and try out lots of different sports and activities, this type of structure may not suit all participants. (We do not provide a 1-2-1 service) We are used to adapting games and sport, adjusting to meet the needs of our participants. If you have left information on the enrolment form, It is normal for us to call parents or guardians to discuss how we support, and encourage all children to take part.

Q. Who are the coaches?
A. Our Lead coaches are fully qualified with experience to manage and lead groups, normally in a range of different sports and activities. See our coach profiles

Q. Are we told what to do all day?
A. There is a timetable of activities throughout the day, participants will be encouraged to try different sports and activities in accordance with the timetable. We are always open to suggestions for new activities/sports.

Q. Can a child bring electronic equipment including mobile phones, tablets or laptops?
A. From Easter 2024 we are operating a no mobile devices policy, this is to ensure the privacy and wellbeing of all participants.

Q. Why are numbers capped? (Currently 25 at Congleton, 35 at Macclesfield & Crewe)
A. We cap the numbers to ensure quality and safety of sessions.

Q. What if I need to cancel or reschedule activities?
A. We would require 24hrs notice for a refund, we can move around bookings if there is availability as we understand that circumstances sometimes change. (In the case of illness email: activeholidays@everybody.org.uk) or contact though EEQU.

Q. Do you except childcare vouchers?
A. Unfortunately not at this time… we are not registered with Ofsted and see ourselves and a multi sports setting.

Startrack is suitable for participants that want to learn about the various events available in athletics.

Startrack can also be used to develop the skills of athletes.

The sessions are fun, enjoyable and sociable.
