A summary
The LittleFarmers' Fun & Food – HAF Farm Adventure Programme provides children with an exciting, inclusive, and enriching holiday experience in a safe and supportive outdoor farm environment. The programme has been designed to support children's physical health, emotional wellbeing, confidence, and personal development through a range of engaging farm-based activities, outdoor learning opportunities, healthy eating experiences, and physical activity. Children will enjoy hands-on interaction with a variety of friendly farm animals, including alpacas, goats, pigs, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, ponies, lambs, sheep, and a miniature cow. Daily activities will include feeding and caring for animals, collecting fresh eggs, learning about animal welfare, and understanding the responsibilities involved in caring for living things. Children will also take part in exciting experiences such as alpaca walking, goat walking, and the farm's popular pig racing activities, helping to build confidence, communication skills, and positive relationships with others. A key focus of the programme is helping children understand where food comes from and encouraging healthy lifestyle choices. Children will participate in growing activities such as planting seeds, caring for fruit and vegetables, harvesting produce, and learning about seasonal foods. Farm-grown ingredients and freshly collected eggs will be used in simple cooking and food preparation sessions, allowing children to develop practical skills while exploring healthy eating. Interactive food experiments, tasting activities, and discussions around nutrition will encourage children to try new foods and increase their knowledge of balanced diets. Creativity and curiosity will be encouraged through arts and crafts sessions using natural and foraged materials collected around the farm. Outdoor learning activities will provide opportunities to explore nature, discover local wildlife, and develop a greater appreciation of the environment and sustainability. To support physical wellbeing, children will take part in a variety of active outdoor experiences, including farm-themed obstacle courses, garden games, den building, nature trails, scavenger hunts, and team challenges. These activities promote physical activity, teamwork, resilience, problem-solving, and self-confidence in a fun and engaging way. The programme is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all children, including those who may benefit from smaller group settings and additional support. By combining fun, food, farming, and outdoor adventure, LittleFarmers' Fun & Food creates memorable experiences that help children build new skills, develop healthy habits, make friends, and improve their overall wellbeing during the school holidays.
