A summary
We have 4 themed weeks : Crazy Creatures Celebration of Nations Games week Creative recycling Each week there will be arts & crafts, games and sports based around these themes. For example, in Celebration of Nations week the children will decorate pebbles with either the flag of their country or something that shows everyone is welcome. They will play sports that are played in different nations around the world. In Crazy Creatures week the children will use their imaginations to create their own crazy creature - what it looks like, smells like, what it can and cant do. In Games week, they will create and play their own games. In Creative Recycling the children will make things out of recyclable materials. We also have Bristol Reptile Encounters visiting each venue. In addition, we have an author of children’s books coming in to do an activity with the children at each venue.

Play is important for all children
The playscheme offers free play sessions for children from 5 – 11 years of age who live or go to school in South Gloucestershire. We support local children to play and learn in the presence of others in a safe and child-friendly environment. We run play sessions for children during the Easter and summer school holidays. We also have 1 day per week for the whole family. In addition, we deliver free whole family activities in all school holidays.
FAQ's
What are your timings: Our sessions start at 10.30am each day. We cannot accept children after 11am. Our sessions finish at 2.30pm each day. Can I collect my child early: Ideally children will be collected at 2.30pm. If you have a medical appointment, or something urgent comes up, please call Barbara on 07510 380596 to inform us before collecting your child early. Do you provide lunch for all children: Yes, we provide lunch for every child that attends. We can cater for the different dietary needs such as vegan, vegetarian, dairy free etc. We order our food every Friday afternoon for the following week. If you book after the Friday afternoon for the following week and have specific dietary requirements such as Dairy free, gluten free, we would ask that you provide your child with a packed lunch as our lunches are pre-ordered. Can I book last minute if a space becomes available: We can take same day bookings up until 9.30am. This gives us time to generate registers and information on your child and pass to our Play Leaders. Can I cancel my session: If possible, please cancel sessions before 9am to allow the space to be taken by another child. You can cancel the session via Eequ. What should my child wear: We do lots of arts & crafts and sports where children may get messy. Please do not put them in their best clothes. Can my child attend if they have SEN: We do take some children with SEN. We are unable to give out medication or help in toileting. We are unable to provide a 1:1 for any children. If they have 1:1 in school or are a risk regarding running off, we unfortunately cannot accept them at the playscheme. If you have any question that has not been answered above, please call Barbara on 07510 380596.
