What we'll do
Home Education – Using Nature to Nurture Learning and Growth. Our Home Education sessions are nature-based woodland learning experiences designed for children and young people aged 5–17. Set within a safe, supportive outdoor environment, these sessions provide a calm and engaging space where learners can explore, discover, and develop skills at their own pace. Activities include bushcraft, practical outdoor skills, nature studies, team challenges, problem-solving tasks, creative projects, and seasonal environmental learning. Sessions are designed to support confidence, resilience, communication, independence, and social development, while also encouraging curiosity and a meaningful connection with the natural world. Our provision is inclusive and welcoming to all home-educating families, including those who benefit from a smaller, supportive learning environment. Our experienced practitioners create a nurturing yet stimulating atmosphere where young people feel safe to challenge themselves, build friendships, and develop both life skills and a lifelong appreciation for nature.

What you'll need
Participants should come prepared for a fully outdoor session, as Little Leaps takes place in a woodland environment and operates all year round in all weathers. Children should wear weather-appropriate clothing that they can get messy in, including sturdy footwear (wellies or walking boots), waterproof coat and trousers, and warm layers during colder months. In warmer weather, please ensure sun hats and sun cream are provided. We also recommend bringing a named water bottle and a small backpack to keep personal items safe and dry during the session.
