A summaryThis one day course in Outdoor Food Safety has been designed to provide those who cater for children, young people and adults in outdoor settings with the knowledge and understanding of food hygiene and skills in safe handling and cooking to enable them to safely cater for individuals and groups. This Level 2 qualification is suitable for Forest School Leaders and assistants, nursery practitioners, scouting leaders or anyone who handles, prepares or serves food for groups outdoors.
You will learn how to keep food and your group safe and comply with the legal requirements in an outdoor setting where there may be no access to running water, refrigeration, or the facilities associated with a catering kitchen.
The course blends engaging theoretical learning with practical, hands-on activities that reinforce key concepts. It concludes with a short written assessment. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Level 2 Certificate accredited by ITC First.
