Let's Get Going and Play Sports-Dorothy Hyman

Children will develop their sports skills through a variety of fun activities, from running, jumping, and throwing games to team-based sports that build cooperation and confidence. With a wide range of sessions on offer, there is something enjoyable and engaging for every child throughout the day.

Here is a breakdown of how the day will look. Regular breaks will be taken throughout the day:

9:30 - Arrival and registration in reception.
9:45- Activity 1 - Fun games involving running, jumping and throwing.
10:45 - Activity 2 - Sports and Team game together in a group.
12:00 - Lunch
12:30 - Activity 3 - Thinking game to stimulate the mind after lunch. These could be physically active and/or classroom-based.
13:30 - Activity 4 - Independent games. Choice of activities provided.
14:30 - Pick up from reception area.

To ensure your child is ready for anything we have planned, here is a list of the essentials we would suggest:

- Sports/comfortable clothing with suitable footwear (Not Crocs or Flip Flops).
- Water bottle where possible, to offer refills throughout the day on site.
- Safety measures due to weather. E.g. Warm clothes on a cold day, waterproofs on wet days, sun cream on sunny days.
- Children are welcome to bring their own packed lunch if preferred.

Please note that if your child will be attending and leaving on their own, please contact the staff before attending on the day, so we are aware of this.
