A summary
If you can balance but can’t pedal, this is the course for your child. Book a 45-minute one off session to get your child to ride their bike without assistance. Participants will need to provide their bike and helmet, but it may be possible to provide a bike if required. All participants will be given an individual lunch bag following the session, which you can enjoy together in the park.

About your mentor
Brighton & Hove City Council - Road Safety
Encouraging children to develop their riding skills
As part of Brighton & Hove City Council, we provide cycle training to children and young people to develop their riding skills.
HAF Conditions
A few T&Cs from Brighton & Hove City Council: • Eligibility criteria – Brighton & Hove HAF funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. • Limits on bookings – Over the summer, Eequ will permit each eligible participant to be booked on to 16 HAF places across all providers in the city. If a session is not attended, HAF places cannot be added back on to an individual’s allocation, regardless of reason. It is therefore important that sessions are cancelled before the activity starts, and ideally giving a minimum of a few days’ notice where possible to allow other children to benefit. Bookings can be managed by the Booker by logging into Eequ and reviewing their Schedule.
