What we'll do
Join us for a fun day of paddlesports, outdoor activities and more! Our Holiday Club is part-funded by Hackney council to offer free spaces to young people who are eligible for Free School Meals in Hackney. We start each day with a game on our grass area, so that everyone can get to know each other and warm up. This is followed by 2hours of activities, which will include canoeing and kayaking as well as rock climbing, games, races, arts and crafts and more. A free lunch is provided for HAF participants, followed by another 2hours of activities in the afternoon. Please note that all participants will need to bring a change of clothes, including spare shoes and will also need to register as a youth club member (also free) via our website before coming to the sessions, at: www.laburnumboatclub.com

Laburnum Boat Club
Personal development through paddlesports
Set up in 1983 by a group of local parents, our mission is to provide opportunities for the personal development of young people and their families in the local community through participation in a range of water-based activities. We aim to be a positive force for changing lives in a safe and supportive environment. To meet this aim we run Clubs and services after-school, at weekends and throughout the school holidays. We target disadvantaged, disabled and vulnerable young people, are open 7 days a week throughout the year and had over 7,000 visits in 2024.
