A summary

Kennington Park Community Centre and Henry Fawcett Primary School are joining forces to offer holiday activities for local children. We will be taking over the school for some holiday fun, including healthy cooking in the staff room, singing and dancing in the school hall, and fun and games in the playground, football pitch and wild garden. We're planning loads of trips and outings to exciting nearby attractions. Our scheme is staffed by familiar adults from local schools, and we will be joined by special visitors for extra activities and new experiences. Healthy snacks and a freshly cooked hot meal are provided daily. Come and join the fun!

Eligibility criteria

Please book here to express your interest in attending this holiday provision. Priority will be given to children who live on Kennington Park Estate or attend Henry Fawcett or St Mark's Primary Schools. Places are FREE if you are eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals, and there's extra places for just £2 a day if you're not HAF-eligible.

Consent

By applying for a place at our HAF playscheme, you are giving consent for; - Your child/children leaving the school site for local trips or activities. Children will always be accompanied by trained play-scheme adults. - Taking event photos for monitoring and publicity reasons. Please let us know directly if there is a safeguarding reason that prevents us from including your child in photos. - Our team to contact your child's school to discuss any support needs.

Kennington Park Community Centre @ Henry Fawcett Primary School

Kennington Park Community Centre is at the heart of Kennington Park Estate, next door to the world-famous Kia Oval cricket ground. It is run by community volunteers, and has been offering HAF holiday activities for many years. While the Centre is being renovated with increased community space and a new café, KPCC has a temporary home at Magee Street, and our popular kids’ holiday activities have moved to nearby Henry Fawcett Primary School, where there’s enthusiastic staff and a range of excellent facilities to keep our kids happy during the school holidays.
