About your mentors
INFINITE SPORT LTD
Sport and Activity Provider
Knockhatch Ski School and Adventure Park are working in partnership with Infinite Sport Ltd to bring you their ultimate Knockhatch Ski Activities Camp. Offering Skiing lessons, tubing, sport sessions and a carousel of Adventure Park experiences for all attendees. These can include a combination of the Wave Runner 2, Foxes Run, Dino Barn, Jumping pillows, Animals and the Dragons Castle to name a few! All participants will have a healthy hot meal provided so you don't need to bring a packed lunch. We will be running our very own "Jungle Trials" to taste new and exciting healthy fruit and vegetables. Can you guess them all? These Camps are now Ofsted registered and in the final stages of setting up childcare voucher payments. As soon as this is in place we will confirm it on our social media pages. As spaces are limited for HAF funding, we hope this helps as many children to experience these Camps as possible. In the meantime you can book and pay for private places if you do not meet the HAF criteria.
Knockhatch Ski Activities Camp
Inspiring skiing to the younger generation
We are an outdoor dry Ski and Snowboard School in Hailsham, East Sussex with a 110m artificial dry ski slope which creates the perfect conditions for skiing. We've been open since 2001 and our innovative dry slope technology has proved a great success. Our down slope measures 360ft with a vertical drop of 100ft. Since then we have expanded with a nursery slope and Tubing Run and a second drag lift. Our dry slope surface 'Play Grass' is a continuous carpet and does not have the voids (notorious for broken fingers and wrists) typical of the surfacing used by most dry slopes. As it is continuous, the bristles do not need to be so rigid, therefore abrasion is rarely a problem. It also has a soft backing so is far softer to fall on. As with other dry surfaces, the slope is mist lubricated for ultimate performance.
Medication & Phones
Medication: You can sign in any prescribed medication required by the attendee.. This must be in the original packaging with the child's name and dosage on the box. Phones & Valuables: Phones will be held by Infinite Sport for the duration of the day and returned at the end of each day. For safeguarding we do not allow ANY attendees to have phones on them at the camps. Groups: At registration attendees will be put into coloured sports bibs to indicate their group for the day. This helps not only their group leaders but the Knockhatch staff identify who is with the camps. It will also clearly highlight to the coaches which children can not be in pictures that will be taken during the camps. All groups will meet at our designated meeting point to walk back to the lodge in time for collection at 4pm. *Adverse Weather - All skiing activities are better when its wet as the dry slopes perform quicker in the rain. Where sports can not take part we have a host of alternative activities for attendees to take part in. The Adventure park activities will also be adapted for such days
Lunch
Following a morning at the Ski Lodge participating in a skiing lesson, tubing and sports session all attendees will be served a healthy lunch. Food will be ordered in accordance with the dietary requirements you have stated in your registration. We do not allow packed lunches, sweets, cakes, chocolates or NUTS on site. Children can bring healthy snacks, fruit and vegetables should they so wish. We will all take part in a blind Jungle Challenge to taste a different fruit or vegetable every day and see how many can guess what it is. After lunch we head to the Adventure Park in or small groups and complete a carousel of as many activities as we can.
