What we'll do
Each week in this fun, social drawing club, learners chat and draw super cute kawaii doodles. I share two pages of themed drawings every week to inspire us. Themes include animals, holidays, food, weather, and student interests. I encourage learners to draw with me and add their own creative touches. This Cute Drawing with Friends class is paced to draw many quick sketches, with some step-by-step directions, and plenty of chatting and laughing. Class F&Q
Q: What is the Kawaii Drawing Club? A: The Kawaii Drawing Club is a creative space where students learn how to draw cute, kawaii-style artwork. They will explore different characters and objects each week, focusing on the elements that make the kawaii style so charming, such as big eyes, simple shapes, and pastel colors. Q: What will my child learn in the club? A: Your child will learn how to create adorable kawaii drawings, understand the core elements of kawaii style, and improve their drawing techniques. They will also practice their communication skills by discussing their artwork and giving/receiving feedback in a collaborative setting. Q: Do students need any prior drawing experience? A: No prior experience is required! The club is designed for students of all skill levels. Each lesson is tailored to ensure that beginners can follow along while still offering creative challenges for those with more experience. Q: How does the club help my child with their social skills? A: In addition to developing their artistic abilities, students will practice discussion and listening skills as they share their work and provide feedback to others. This encourages teamwork, communication, and the ability to appreciate different perspectives. Q: What age group is the Kawaii Drawing Club for? A: The club is suitable for children of various ages, typically from elementary to middle school. The activities and lessons are adapted to the age and skill levels of the participants. Q: What supplies does my child need to participate? A: Students will need basic drawing materials such as paper, pencils, erasers, and colored markers or pencils. We may also use other simple art supplies depending on the projects for the week. Q: Is this club only about drawing, or will there be other activities? A: While the primary focus of the club is on drawing, there will be opportunities for students to engage in other creative activities like sharing their drawings, discussing their ideas, and participating in group challenges. Q: How can I support my child’s progress in the club? A: You can support your child by encouraging them to practice drawing at home, discussing their artwork, and praising their creativity. Your interest and involvement will help foster a positive learning experience. Q: Will my child be able to showcase their artwork? A: Yes! Students will have opportunities to share their completed artwork with their peers, either through group showcases or by displaying their work at the end of a session. This helps boost their confidence and pride in their creations.
