Thursday 2nd April Morning Build Big. Think Smart. Create Something Amazing. Egyptian Pyramids Without the Heavy Lifting Using Minecraft Education, children will take on one of history’s greatest building projects, the Egyptian pyramids. The difference? No heavy lifting like the ancient Egyptians had to do. Instead, they will code their Agent to do the hard work for them. By using commands, loops, and coordinates, they will automate the building process and watch their pyramid rise block by block. It is powerful, creative, and seriously impressive. Afternoon Create Your Own Digital Pet Remember the world-famous Japanese digital pet toy from the 1990s? Your child will get to create their very own version using a Micro:bit. They will design how it behaves, how it reacts, and what makes it unique. From simple animations to interactive features, they will bring their digital creation to life through code. Throughout the day, children stay active, build confidence, work as a team, and experience technology in a hands-on, exciting way. If your child loves Minecraft, robots, creating, or figuring out how things work, this is the holiday club they have been waiting for. At Jam Coding, we run fun and inspiring holiday clubs across Worcestershire and Herefordshire, blending digital creativity with hands-on activities to create an unforgettable experience for children. Activity Description: Our holiday clubs offer an exciting mix of coding, animation, and digital design, alongside engaging offline activities, including crafts, sports, and puzzles. Every activity, whether online or offline, is designed with an underlying theme of healthy living, encouraging children to develop both their digital and physical skills. We’ve carefully structured our timetable to ensure a balanced 50/50 split between screen-based learning and hands-on creative play, giving children the best of both worlds in a safe, engaging, and enriching environment.
