This session, and subsequent follow-up sessions, are best suited to secondary school students and leavers and their parents/guardians.
What we'll do
The Introduction to Esports is a mixture of practical fun and educational content. Parents and children will both be able to engage in exploring Esports, perhaps for the first time and ask any questions during the session.
The session will include:

- Popular Esports teams, games and tournaments
- Esports in education
- Esports as a career
- Why choose Esports?
- Who is Esports for?
- What to expect from upcoming sessions
After some engaging activities and a Q&A section, parents and children will have the opportunity to enjoy some casual freeplay.

My name is Marcus Parker, a former Professional Esports Athlete turned Lecturer. Gaming has been a massive part of my life and I stumbled upon the industry by sheer luck! Now, I teach Esports to the younger generation! My mission is to spread awareness of this fast-growing and exciting new industry - showcasing the Academic and Career opportunities it brings!
